Irriworks - The company

Irriworks is costitued by a team of professional specialist in engineering, data processing and agronomic field, working on accademic research and profession sector. The idea is born in the spring of 2004, after a decade of searches conduct near the laboratory of ITAF Department of the University of Palermo, with the objective to make tools and services applied to hydraulics and agriculture.

The Irriworks society is born as academic spin-off after to have participated and gained in the competition of entrepreneurial ideas StartCup organized by university of Palermo and had collected favorable consents also during the final period of PNI competition (National Prize for Innovation, Padova 2005).

The society is settled inside the Arca incubator, consortium constituted by University of Palermo, SINTESI Association, Sviluppo Italia Sicilia s.p.a and EASY INTEGRAZIONE DI SISTEMI s.r.l: the consortium proposes the promotion of research applications and the creation of innovative companies.

MISSION

Commercialize and spread the world’s best tool to design irrigation plants allowing:

End users irrigate everywhere and garantee the quality and sureness of design results where before there were not guaranties;
irrigation enterprises to improve their existing products and innovate creating new ones based on Irriworks’ unique know how;
growers to carry forward a sustainable agriculture, water management and nutrients saving as well as enhancing profit margin and crop quality.

Irriworks also looks at training a new professionals, skilled and freelance, whose only takes care of design.

VISION

Irriworks believes in sustainable development, promotes the employ of technologies able to optimize water supply management, to fight against risk of desertification by converting arid to irrigated land.
Irriworks meets the ever growing demands for more powerful, fast, precise and reliable irrigation design tools. We want to place at their disposal a agronomic reference suite, costituted by information tools integrated in every field of agriculture, irrigation, farm managment, agronomic analysis and irrigation planning. Irriworks wants to be leader in innovative technologies applied to the agricultural processes of the near future.
