Irriworks - News 26th june 2008

Irriworks Srl and Agrarian Faculty took part to the International Conference on Agriculture Engineering & Industry Exibition at Hersonissos, Creta, from 22th to 25th june 2008.

In the wonderful setting of Knossos Royal VIllage at Hersonissos, Creta, it's happened Conference on Agriculture Engineering & Industry Exibition (EurAgEng), joined with Hellenic Society of Agrarian Engineering. In the conference more of 500 members shared came from academic background and public and private research establishment, arrived from about fifty countries of five continents.
The handled topics was about agrarian engineering, from mechanics and mechanization to rustic fabrications, from agrarian hydraulic to irrigation. Special attention was turned on precision agriculture and sensoring where manufactoring process will be directed more and more frequently.

The partecipants had the chance to show most innovative and new marifacturing developing about between engineering and agriculture. During the conference it was introduced the work called “IRRIPRO: A powerful software to graphic and hydraulic design of irrigation plants”, made by Irriworks in collaboration with ITAF Department of University of Palermo. In the work it's showed the software IrriPro as well as the results of first afield tests.

The work received an award (below) from organizing committee (in a shortlist of three best papers) for “Excellence in design and innovation in agricultural engineering".
