 Irrigation is the most important factor in agriculture because it ensures the major increase like quantity and quality in the production, more than the treatments adopted for the soil and plants. In order to obtain an efficient irrigation system and to maximise the productivity of the harvest the project is the key.

The IrriPro irrigation networks software is based on an innovative algorithm of calculation that permits design, management and analysis of irrigation networks allowing the correct and fast dimensioning of the irrigation systems with the necessary scientific rigor and reducing of the calculative burden. The calculation algorithm is covered by patent.

If the morphology of the terrain and irrigation equipment (pipes and emitters) are known, the application allows to carry out the design of a plant in few minutes, helping the user until output of technic report and drawing.

The empiricists methods up to now used and other instruments of calculation present on the market give approximate results: the uniformity lack or worse still the irrigation deficiency in some zones of the land causes negative consequences for the development and the productivity of the cultivations and in same cases judicial controversies between who designs a system and who cultivates a land.

IrriPro starts from engeneering and hydraulic requirement to satisfy for reaching to the best technical project and drawing. Other applications, on the contrary, start as CAD utility for reaching, only at the end, to a verification in approximate hydraulic way and only in some points.

Therefore a new instrument of calculation has been created to supply the exact solution of water distribution in every point of the land, also when this introduces whichever slope, the area to water is of any shape and the network is composed from various tens of thousands of emitters.

The software allows among other things:

  • the saving of water and fertilizers;
  • the increment in quality and quantity of the agricultural productions and consequently of the profit margins of the agricultural entrepreneurs;
  • the identification of possible malfunctions in the system;
  • an approximately saving of the 5-10% on the installation costs in irrigation system

The software supplies moreover all the analysis and diagnostic instruments to be necessary to evaluation of the effects about design choice made by customer, the identification of eventual malfunction and allows to make a graphics representation of hydraulic size.

IrriPro replies to the increasing requirement of:

  • efficiency of irrigation techniques for the countries with limited water resources,

  • industrialization in the techniques and use of check technologies (control units and sensors) for the advanced nations.

 


The validity of the algorithm, to the base of application, by now is recognized in the scientific community and is published in various publications.
